Recurrent pregnancy loss is a condition where a woman has 2 or more miscarriages before it reaches 20 weeks. Clinical pregnancy loss is diagnosed using ultrasound. The loss might occur due to chromosomal errors, anatomical uterine defects, autoimmune disorders, and endometrial dysfunction.

Pregnancy loss types may include

  • Embryonic pregnancy is where the egg is fertilized but doesn’t develop into an embryo.
  • Miscarriage. A pregnancy loss before 13 weeks.
  • Ectopic pregnancy. The condition where the fetus develops outside the uterus.
